Biocarb

How does it work?

Why take BioCARB?

Key Ingredients

BioCARB contains a newly recognised carbohydrate blocker known as 'Polymax'. This is a partial-protein substance extracted from white kidney beans which have an ability to reduce calorific absorption from starchy carbohydrates including potatoes, pasta, rice and bread, so Polymax is ideal for dieters or anyone who desires to lose weight without feeling deprived of the foods they love. When combined with a sensible eating plan, Polymax helps diminish hunger and speed up weight loss. Because Polymax allows you to eat some carbohydrate foods that satisfy your cravings, you are more likely to remain on your weight loss plan.

As Polymax reduces hunger and obstructs the absorption of starchy foods which usually get stored in fat cells, people who use it experience a 4-8lb weight loss in a two month period over those who don't use it. Given that phaseolamin obstructs the absorption of starches and carbohydrates, effectively this means that carbohydrates passes directly through your digestive system, and do not add unwanted pounds or get stored as fat.

Fortunately, Polymax only blocks the amount of energy (namely calories) being supplied by the starch itself. It does not affect the absorption of other nutrients contained within high-carbohydrate foods, such as vitamins, minerals and trace elements, so the benefits of these are not lost.

How Polymax works

Throughout the digestive process, the body converts carbohydrates into sugar. This is done by breaking down the carbohydrate molecule with alpha amylase (an enzyme produced in the pancreas). This sugar is then used as energy for the body, or stored as fat depending on the level of activity the body undertakes.

Polymax counteracts this digestive enzyme 'alpha amylase' by temporarily delaying both the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates – allowing only a fraction of them to pass through the system before they are converted into glucose, and then fat. This reduces both the calorie intake and lowers the glycaemic index of carbohydrates consumed.
